Geothermal resources exploration
We have conducted many geothermal resources exploration projects as shown below by geological surveys, geophysical surveys and drilling surveys in Japan.
(1)Geological surveys in the Survey of Deep Geothermal Resources in the Hohi Area, Kyushu, Japan, which was conducted by the Geological Survey of Japan (presently, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST)) in 1980's.
(2)Geological and hydrothermal alteration survey, geophysical survey and drilling survey in Musadake, Hakkoda-west, Okiura, Ashiro, Tazawako-east, Azumasan-north, Inawashiro, Tsurumidake, Kuenohira, Kuju, Unzen-west, Asosan-west, Hishikari areas in Geothermal Development Promotion Survey by New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and New Energy Foundation (NEF) from 1980's. Survey in Niseko and Aso areas in the Nationwide Geothermal Resources Exploration Project by NEDO in 1980's.
(3)Geological survey, geophysical data analysis, resource evaluation and support works for airborne geophysical surveys in the airborne geophysical exploration by JOGMEC since 2014.
(4)Geophysical surveys in geothermal resources exploration which private companies and local governments have conducted using JOGMEC's subsidy system.
(5)Geophysical surveys in Ethiopia, Djibouti, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in geothermal resources development projects conducted by JICA since 2013.
